Leslie is like all of us, she has a phone and she doesn't like being cluttered by a lot of applications.
That's why Leslie is quite annoyed when she goes out because she is an ardent user of scooters and electric bikes. But she also takes the metro and the train when going a bit farther. Sometimes, she mixes all types of transports. So installing 3 or 4 different apps on her phone, not for her. Luckily MaaS exists!
But what is MaaS?
MaaS (Mobility as a Service), is a single interface, often an app, allowing users to plan for, book and pay a trip. MaaS works on intermodal trips, meaning a trip using several transport modes. MaaS works perfectly for Leslie's trip: scooter then metro then train!
The ultimate goal of MaaS is to put the users' needs at the core of the equation so that they can travel across all regions, simply and smoothly.
For MaaS to become a reality, integrated offerings and technical issues will have to be solved. And that's exactly where Spirtech comes in, because without us, projects don't have the same charm.
Spirtech provides some essential bricks to MaaS:
These solutions, highly reliable and secure, have already been deployed in several cities and regions all over the world, which are very happy with them: Porto, Lyon, Emilia Romagna, Mexico City, Lille, Montreal, Venice...
